Privacy Policy
This policy explains what All American Story Poles does with personal information collected through this website and in the course of providing story pole services in California.
Effective 25 September 2026.
Who we are
All American Story Poles provides story pole plans, installation, certification coordination and project notice signs across Northern and Southern California. We are a service-area business and do not publish a street address. You can reach us by email or on either regional number below.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to quote and carry out the work.
- Contact details you give us, such as your name, company, email address and phone number.
- Project information, such as the site address, the reviewing jurisdiction, your hearing date and the drawings you send us.
- Correspondence, including emails, text messages and notes of calls about a project.
- Photographs of the site taken as part of the installation record.
- Basic technical information collected automatically when you visit this website, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view.
How we use it
We use personal information to prepare quotes, draft plans, schedule and carry out installations, coordinate the surveyor where certification is required, produce project signs, invoice for the work, answer your questions, and keep records of what was done on a project. We also use aggregated website statistics to understand which pages are useful.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Cookies and website analytics
This website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, and may use analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is needed to do the job or where the law requires it.
- The licensed surveyor or other licensed professional who certifies an installation.
- Your architect, designer, contractor or project manager, where you have asked us to work with them.
- The planning department or review board, where a submittal requires it.
- Service providers who help us operate, such as our website host, email provider and sign printer, who may use the information only to provide that service.
- A public authority, where we are required to disclose by law.
How long we keep it
We keep project records, including plans, photographs and certifications, for as long as they may be needed for the project and for our own legal and accounting purposes. Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for a shorter period and then deleted.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act gives you the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and why, to request a copy of it, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. You also have the right not to be treated differently for exercising those rights.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it, and we will respond within the time the law allows.
Your choices
You can ask us to stop sending you anything that is not about a live project at any time. You can also ask us not to use site photographs of your project in our own marketing, and we will honour that.
How we protect information
Access to project files and correspondence is limited to the people who need it to do the work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.
Children
Our services are provided to property owners and design professionals. This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
